Psychological counseling in Turkish and English in Munich

Welcome!

Are you new in Munich? An expat? A spouse who moved together with a loved one? A student from a foreign country?  Or maybe you are not new, you may have been here for years but you still find it hard to adjust..Or you are planning to start something new, but you cannot find the courage for the first step? Maybe you are becoming a parent and you are not sure if you can manage that in a foreign country? Or maybe you have just entered a life phase where you need someone to listen, to understand, to encourage, and to work it out with you. Then you are in the right place!

Who am I?

I am an expat (and former international student) over 15 years and in 5 different countries, a mother of two small kids, a counselor with B.A., M.A. and M.Sc. degrees in Psychology; who has been through similar experiences as you and who loves coaching others through everyday struggles. I am here to offer you professional, personal and experienced counseling and coaching in English or Turkish.

Areas of consulting

Adjustment into a new culture

Trying to adjust into a new culture, where one came for working, studying or as a spouse of a loved one, can be one of the hardest transitions in life. Many people face adaptation and adjustment problems not only physical (i.e. feeling moody, unable to sleep, gaining weight, having concentration problems) but also social (i.e. unable to find friends, setting goals of life, losing sense of belongingness). What most people feel as “homesickness” is actually a transition period between your old life and the future. Living in 5 different countries over 15 years, I know what you are facing! Working together, we will find solutions to apply to everyday life struggles.

Adjustment into parenthood

Having a baby is a life changing event and it can be overwhelming to adjust to your new role as a parent, especially if you are in a foreign country. Being a mother of two young children, I can anticipate what you are going through. We will work together finding a balance between your expectations and reality, managing pregnancy, parenting stress, burn-out, or transition to become “full time mother” as well as “going back to work after the baby”. We will work on excelling at everyday tasks such as multitasking, planning and organizing your family chores in balance with your personal life, self-care, social life and work-family balance to gain better life-satisfaction and more happiness.

School of Happiness

In this unique program of individual and/or group work, we will exercise how to live in the moment without having worries of past life events nor anxiousness towards your future. We will focus on your personal gains, strengths and how to enhance them to a more meaningful, fulfilled and happy life. We will try to find your balance in four main areas of life; social, physical, psychological and intellectual. Personally tailored; this program can help you to put meaningful goals for your life, overcome your social struggles, body image and weight control, focus and enjoy daily life and the moment, and therefore you enhance more happiness from life.
